Last month brought us some highs, some lows, and some new situations. With COVID-19 quarantines going on all over the world, I’m sure a lot of people could say the same thing. But in spite of all that’s going on, God has given us a whole lot to be grateful for. These are just a few things we were especially glad about in April 2020 😊:
EASTER
Easter is one of our favorite holidays. I love that Easter comes when Spring is getting started. The weather is warming up, the days are getting longer, the flowers are starting to open up & everything is so beautiful. I think Spring is the BEST season (even though my husband would disagree)!
But more importantly, Easter is the celebration of Jesus dying on the cross and rising up again in order to pay for our sins and bring us to God. That’s the foundation of our faith as Christians, so Easter is a really significant holiday. We wanted to do something to help our kids recognize the importance of Easter and enjoy the celebration in spite of the quarantine.
Normally, we would go to church in the morning then have Easter dinner with parents and siblings. This year looked a little different. Easter morning, we ate a big pancake breakfast and watched church services online (yay for technology!). Later in the day, we had a Easter “dinner party”. We got dressed up, ate dinner and cupcakes, and talked about the Easter story. It was simple! Just us acting goofy and enjoying each other’s company, but the kids had a great time. Here’s a little bit from our day:
MICHELLE’S BIRTHDAY
Our baby girl turned 3 years old! The time has gone by so fast! Princess Michelle is a beautiful little force to be reckoned with. She loves telling jokes and she is always making us laugh with her impressions of other family members. Her favorite color is pink, her favorite show is VeggieTales, she likes singing, dancing, helping Mommy & Daddy cook, and playing with her big sister. She is such a blessing to our family and we’re looking forward to watching her do many more great things in the future. Here’s a few clips from her at-home, quarantine-style birthday party (special thanks to her grandparents, aunties, and uncles for sending their love and gifts!):
MUSIC RELEASE
I’m so proud of my talented husband! He teamed up with his friend and fellow artist REP on a six-song project called “But HE is strong”. The producers finished up in April and the music will be available for purchase in May 2020. Their songs tackle the issues of depression, anger and pride, as well the need for motivation, love and strength. All of which are especially relevant during this period of time! This is a little sample of what they’ve been working on:

Thank you baby!💗 Some of the videos are old and we can’t access them anymore, but we will work on putting up some new ones😊
